Curriculum Characteristics

  • We develop students’ four skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking through a variety of learning activities. Our curriculum runs with a ‘LOVES’ approach.

  • Learner independence – We promote learner independence. Students learn with a self-directed approach. We guide and prepare our students to become proactive and independent learners.
  • Opportunities – Students are provided with various opportunities to apply the skills and knowledge learnt. They engage in different learning activities, e.g. broadcasting the English Channel, introducing interesting issues for ‘English One Minute’ via the public announcement system and performing in LMC Stage.
  • Vocabulary building – We facilitate students’ proficiency in reading and expand their vocabulary via reading workshops, ‘English Wall Builder’ and spelling activities, etc.
  • Enthusiasm – We enthuse our students to experience English via various fun activities both inside and outside the classroom, e.g. LMC Storyland, inter-class competitions and thematic activities.
  • Share – Students’ works are highly appropriated and shared via various platforms, including boards around the school, campus TV, online learning platforms, etc.
